This piece was inspired by two brothers I saw walking across the dry red sand of their village, arms wrapped around each other as they made their way home. The simplicity of the moment struck me, it wasn’t about what they lacked, but about what they carried: love, connection, and the comfort of belonging. In a place where life can be harsh and uncertain, their closeness felt like a reminder of what matters most. For me, this painting is about resilience born not only of strength, but of love.
