Moyo holds a special place in my heart. I photographed him on safari, towering above us so high that I had to lean out of the truck just to capture his gaze. With his shaggy coat, torn ear, and oxpeckers gently picking away ticks and insects, he carried both wild grace and endearing imperfection. There was a sweetness in his presence, a gentleness that contrasted with his immense size. Painting Moyo was about more than his height—it was about seeing beauty in the details, and remembering that even the tallest among us rely on small acts of care.
